Hong Kong (CNN)Fifteen more people have been confirmed dead in Hubei province from a deadly new coronavirus, according to the provincial health authority, raising the death toll to 41 in mainland China.
Authorities in China have imposed indefinite travel restrictions on tens of millions of people across 11 cities in an unprecedented effort to contain the spread, as hospitals at the epicenter of the outbreak struggle to handle a surge in new patients.
The virus, which was first discovered in the city of Wuhan in December, has spread to every province in China, except the remote autonomous regions of Qinghai and Tibet, with the number of infections rising to more than 900 worldwide.
Another 180 cases of the virus were confirmed in Hubei, said the provincial health authority. This raises the total number of confirmed Wuhan coronavirus cases to 1,072 in mainland China.
The weeklong Lunar New Year holiday, which began Friday, has led to concerns that the outbreak could quickly accelerate, as hundreds of millions of people travel across the country to visit friends and relatives.

41 has to be a low number. Every indication is that there are tons more infected than admitted, primarily because China is corrupt and want to downplay the problem, but also because they don’t have enough test kits and so they won’t call just anyone dead or dying of pneumonia as having this infection until the results come back. But China has a good idea what’s going on considering they’ve quarantined the equivalent of California, which is going to do significant harm to their economy, not to mention probably create hysteria.

China is building a 1000 bed hospital in 2 weeks dedicated to treating those afflicted with this virus, while worthless Democrats in our Congress have spent 3 years undermining the ability of our President to cope in America.
All travel to and from China should be shut down to protect America. If Americans go to China they should be required to stay there.

This China Central TV report from last April says that Wuhan Institute of Virology has found and distracted a novel #coronoavirus from pigs originated from bats. This kind of coronavirus is very similar the one that has caused the #SARS outbreak in 2003.

YEP something else is going on here China definitely needs to fess up, Americans should not even consider going to China at this time!!!
The quarantine has been too late to do any good, its already made it to the U.S. Apparently it has a 14 day incubation period before any symptoms and you can spread it around during this time so the horse has left the barn.

The cynicism in me says the only thing for sure is that little people will be the last to know when things look like it will get more serious, be it in China, US or Japan. Governments exist mostly to protect its own, not its citizens.
The problem with your calculation is that there is likely a proportionate number of dead as a numerator.
