I’m a Bears fan, still, and I hated Tarkentan.
He had Bud Grant, a great coach. We had the likes of Abe Gibron, and Neil Armstrong. Neil was famous for “always” running when we were like 2nd and 9 yards on the 50 yard line.
Gibron, was worse and noted for, run left, run right, incomplete pass, punt.
LOL! Abe Gibron! I haven’t heard that name in years! He was a critter, wasn’t he? (The Sixties and Seventies were full of critters in that sport!)
