I turned on NPR this week one day to listen to impeachment trial. It hadn’t started yet and they still had their morning program on. They were doing a story on One America News Network (OAN) ... they’d picked it up from Rudy telling people to watch their documentary on things he got. The host says something like, “we decided to check into what OAN is. We looked it up and got this from a site we like that tells about news sources. It says, ‘OAN is a right wing extremist web site that is known for fake news’” ... I couldn’t believe it ... well actually I could. It’s pathetic!

I think I accessed the “site we like that tells about news sources” in 2018. It positions itself as an impartial arbiter of accuracy (provides talking points to programs like “the view” to use to smear conservatives). I can’t recall the name but they rate news sources on a continuum and basically, with some toxic exceptions, their “worst” rated news outlets were conservative and their best were “progressive.” There were a few progressive sites rated lower than I would have expected; it seemed that they were being punished for not being “progressive” enough. *smh*
I’m sure school children are guided to using that ‘impartial site” for homework resources to steer them to rely on Fake News. I understand Angelina Jolie will be establishing a program to help school children identify FAKE News and that site will come in handy for her. :/
That could be good. The sheeple are used to hearing their favorite news outlets are fake news.
Maybe they'll go listen and learn something.
