I took physics so long ago that I don’t think neutrinos had been invented yet, so I don’t know anything about Antarctic neutrinos. But I guess it’s good that someone is watching them.

Typical stupid science reporting. Just because whatever it is isn't well understood -- it does NOT "defy physics".
At most it reveals a blank spot in our knowledge of physics. Which is not the same thing.
