WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WOWK) – A former teacher’s aide is caught on video hitting a special needs student and the parents want to know why it’s taking so long to get justice for their son.
Kevin Maynard says he still can’t believe his eyes and refuses to watch the video his wife, Erica, is holding.
“I couldn’t do it,” Maynard said. “I still can’t do it. I don’t want to do it.”
The video is of a former teacher’s aide at Kellogg Elementary speaking hatefully, shoving him to the ground by his arm, and hitting him in the back of the head during class in September 2019. The full video can be found below:

Is there another video? How do you know the kid was being disruptive before he got smacked in the head?
It’s certainly possible. I just didn’t see that.
Every so often, it’s needed that any teacher or Aide remember that behind most of these disabled children, there is a parent or someone who cares about them.
Four months after the event, that father remains devastated at the very notion that his son was pushed around.
Maybe the parents need to see the bigger picture, but right now, they don’t. When their child is treated roughly, they feel that pain too.

We were a military family and every new school I went to my dad would take me in to register. He always told the Principal the same thing. You have my permission to spank my child, but he better deserve it. If not I will come back and beat you.
We never had any issues but it cut both ways. On those few occasions that I did get swats, the school would call him and I would get worse at home.
The kid kept trying to get out of his seat to go play when it was time to sit and do work. When the aide made him sit he kept trying to get up and she’s make him sit again, so he’d screech very loudly. He did not want to sit and do his work.
Then he threw something on the floor so the aid made him pick it up. She put him on the floor to do this.
I had teachers like this in grade school so what is the trouble? I had teachers far worse.
They wanted to mainstream these kids now make the same rules apply. These kids should not be able to disrupt valuable class time and if they are going to learn anything it looks as if it’s going to be forced because this kid was fighting every step of the way.

Some kids don’t belong in regular classrooms.
The exception being if they have a one to one aide to sit near them and get them out of the class when disruptions begin.
I can’t get the video to actually PLAY.
Notice because te aide is a woman, they don’t tell you anywhere in the story she’s a woman.
Loks like a big old fat lesbian doing what they love to do most - be physically violent/abusive to male children.
My Opera browser v66.0 didn’t find any videos/links in that article, so I switched to Pale Moon browser, and one (1) video appeared. No, I have no clue. I’ve been using Opera since 2009 and it always works... can’t figure this out.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
The video is strange, all I saw was a couple of cows rooting around waiting for their next meal. Teachers? School? What?
