I think the principle should be simple and straightforward.
If your infidelity caused the divorce, you are judged to be at fault, and you get NADA. Be you male or female.
What could be more fair than that?
I agree. Also if one spouse physically abuses the other, regardless of sex, that spouse should not get any form of alimony.
What if your spouse is abusive? Spent every last dime and then some while you saved a bunch, and your spouse told you she/he’d never have sex with you again (the first and third were not the case with me although she made a good faith effort with the second even though my income has gone up 20% a year for 15 straight years)? Divorce is usually never as easy as infidelity. Infidelity is already taken into account in the vast majority of states, as it should, but getting NADA is nuts as well (except for spouses that would otherwise get alimony, I think they should get nada, of cousre I think alimony should largely be done away with except a 1-2 year transition period)
