It always amazes me how self-hating Americans can be. If anything, his family is more virture-signally. Their main two endeavors are promoting climate change and Islam. When they aren’t friends with Jeffrey Epstein. At least the American isn’t doing that.
Sorry but that view and one seems to focus mostly on Prince Charles who, in his eternal wait for the throne, has indeed been a moaner about GMO and environmental issues.
The only individual associated with Epstein has been Prince Andrew who has been all but expelled from the RF and very quickly.
The usual lip service has been paid to climate change by various royals but apart from Charles it’s hardly been their main thrust. Before Megxit the younger royal set were hammering mental health as their pet cause.
I don’t see much promotion of Islam apart from the occasional state visit to or from Muslim nations. The bigger problem, of course, is immigration and (lack of) assimilation but those are parliamentary issues which, constitutionally, the monarch cannot be involved in.
There’s nothing self-hating about recognizing and denouncing vapid celebrity culture especially when it becomes the preferred option over the duties - however ceremonial - that Harry committed to long ago. He also received an education and military training.
‘At least the American isn’t doing that’ might be the faintest praise imaginable and therefore the most damning, not least because she was 35+ years old and presumably familiar with the monarchy through independent reading, research and/or a period of instruction by courtiers just as every spouse does.
