It’s the same nut group, which apparently started in the 19th century, and has many splinter sects. Southern Poverty Law Center supposedly lists 144 of these as anti-Semitic/anti-White hate groups. But not all the sects are into that. I’d never heard of this until the Nickolas Sandman incident in Washington DC, where Back Hebrew Israelites were said to have stirred things up.

Somehow, I made it to 66-years-old without murdering any one.
Now that I think about it, June 30 is during summer vacation. I wasn’t a news junkie back. I was a get out of the house as soon as I can and get home after dark junkie.
Probably because it happened during summer vacation. We didn’t have a 24 hour news cycle back then.
I was in the Air Force stationed at Plattsburgh, New York at the time. We had a good number of blacks living in the dorm, but I can not honestly recall even hearing one word about it. It’s true that some of the blacks kept to themselves, but I don’t remember them excluding us.
First time I heard of it as well. Sad the King family lost two family members.

I think you are confusing him with Urkel on Family Matters, a total dork. Michael Jackson was a very good looking black child/young man until he became a uuugly white woman.
