LOL, my sister Renee followed his wishes to the tee. A whole lot of the big Italian family is totally upset and saying that this is a blasphemous affair (He donated his body to science, so no funeral). There will be a Priest there at 4:00 PM to start off the celebration.
Mark , age 63, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Loving husband of Patti (removed the personal items listed).
Memorial visitation Sunday, February 9, 2020 at XXXXX Bar & Grill from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service. From 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, food and drinks will be served to celebrate Mark’s life.
Mark will help train future doctors.
It was his decision.
Being from an Italian family, I know they always have something to say.

Renee has a lot to deal with and doesn’t need their crap right now.
The get together at a B & G is appropriate for various people. Ill be going to one of the celebrations of life in Cinti with my music man for a mutual musical friend .. in a few weeks and at a local B & G where he often had gigs and it was his watering hole. It is amazing how those “outsiders” even if family try to give grieving spouses a hard time.. they best just stay home if they are going to sour the get together
I’m sorry you’re going through this, but I think if that was his wishes than fine. His soul is already in heaven.
