I’ve been thinking of my Dad so much that almost everything else is crowded out of my mind. It’s also the passing of an era, he was almost 89 years old and the world he was born into is largely gone.

I know what you mean. I lost my dad in April of 2006, and my mom passed just 5 weeks later. I try to tell my grandkids what it was like when I was a kid and when my parents were young, but i dont know how much they retain. My only sibling, my sister, passed in 2015. I have a family photo by my bed, i was around 3. I look at it and think I'm the only one left. But, I have children and grandchildren as does my sister. Our parents were blessed with long lives and the opportunity to see their kids be adults. I couldn't even listen to Patsy Cline for a couple of years after my dad passed. Time makes it easier. 💕
