As Trump and Netanyahu announce the peace plan, the US embassy in Israel sends a security warning.

Jeremy Sharon((Religious Affairs Reporter for The Jerusalem Post. All opinions are my own. RT not an endorsement))

Trump's Israel-Palestinian Plan in summary:

Israel's absolute dream outcome of the conflict, apart from Israeli hard/far right which will oppose deal b/c it allows a Palestinian state.

For the Palestinians, the deal negates every1 of their demands, 1967 borders, Jlem, refugees.

Trump: They say it’s the tougher deal ever to make. In business when I had a tough deal, people would say it’s tougher than Israel and the Palestinians. Actually there’s nothing tougher than this but we have to get it done. We have an obligation to humanity to get it done.

*toughest

Netanyahu is thanking everyone, Jared and Ivanka get the biggest applause of all.

Netanyahu says presence of ambassadors of Bahrain, UAE and Oman “I was going to say portends I’d the future, but what a sign that portends of the present!”

Netanyahu: This is a historic default that recalls another historic day...(when) Ben-Gurion declared our independence...in decades we will also remember Jan 28, 2020. On this day you became the first Us president to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over areas of Judea and Samara

Netanyahu: you have charted a future for israelis and Palestinians by setting a path for enduring peace.

Netanyahu says past plans failed “bc they did not strike the right balance between Israel’s security nerds and the Palestinian’s hope for self-determination”

Netanyahu: Rather than play easy lip service to Israel’s security...you realized Isrsel must have sovereignty over places that allow Israel to defend itself by itself.

Netanyahu says W Bank was “outrageously labeled as illegally occupied territory” and Trump is “puncturing this big lie” and is recognizing Israeli sovereignty over all settlements.

Netanyahu mentions Bet El, where Jacob had his dream and Shiloh, home of the Ark of the Covenant for centuries (?) are now recognized as a permanent part of the Jewish state.

Interjecting here, I’ll say, Israel has to actually annex them or there’s nothing for America to recognize...

Netanyahu: It’s a great plan for Israel, it’s a great plan for peace. Thank you Mr. President...You have been the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House.

Talking about all the ways trump is good for Israel, a lot of Iran...

Netanyahu says he shares Trump’s commitment to making peace between Israel and the Palestinians and the Arab world. Says Palestinians have a right to “dignity and their own national life” - notice he avoids saying a state.

Netanyahu says the plan “makes clear Palestinian refugee problem must be solved outside of Israel...ensures the ancient city of Jerusalem remains united,” maintains access for all to holy sites. No one uprooted from home.

Plan has “innovative solutions” where Palestinians connected to one another Israelis connected. “It helps that you come from real estate,” Netanyahu quips.

Netanyahu: Your peace plan offers the Palestinian a pathway to a future state. It may take them a long time to get to that path...but if the Pals are generally prepared to take that path...Israel will be there. Israel will be prepared to negotiate peace right away.

I take back what I said about him avoiding saying a state!

Israel will apply its law to Jordan valley, settlements in West Bank, that US plan says will recognize part of Israel, Netanyahu says. It will ensure Israel’s security and leave open possibility of political settlement in the coming year.

Netanyahu expresses hope Palestinians will embrace $50bn American investment and a “future of prosperity together with Israel” Netanyahu thanking the whole Trump peace team.

Thank you so much NIKK for that post!

Praying for Americans safety, praying for Israel’s safety, and prayers for peace.

Lord forgive me, sometimes I think the only solution for Palestinians is a final solution, when they cause death and destruction for no reason, don’t even know what is proposed. They already had a country, Jordon, but they didn’t want to leave and recognize Israel right to exist. Hateful people.

Impressive, Trump got Israel to agree to a Palestinian state. The Palestinians might decide to cut off their nose to spite their face, but this is the best offer they’ve ever had. Or will have. Israel is not going to disappear.
