I was asked, by HR “Why are you donating to a PAC other than Americans for Prosperity? “
I said I preferred to keep my political opinions at home.
Another place tried like mad to get me to donate to the United Way, up to the point of publicly shaming (posted my name on the BB) me as being “Greedy”. When I posted my charitable donations for the last two years, it made the blue in management mad, but the union guys loved it!
Work is for work, but it is best to figure out what team the management plays for.
I’ve never worked for a company that participated in the United Way fraud, but I always kind of wished I did.
We take our charitable donations seriously and I also donate hundreds if not thousands of hours of my time annually.
I don’t like self-promotion but if challenged, I’d be glad to compare.
