By the way, I'd appreciate your prayers. Feels sometimes like there are traps being set for me.

I also think God may be teaching ME about humility. I need to honor my supervisor even when I think they're putting unfairness upon me. Such a posture would show trust that my Creator is able to take care of my situation. I wouldn't be relying on my own intellect or value, but on HIM.

They have probably made the decision to get rid of you. Next they will set you up with a bad performance review, which will be totally subjective. After that you will get a call to come into your bosses office and you will terminated based on performance. It will all be a set up.

Should you get fired, publicize the event, and drive them into bankruptcy!

Why is it necessary to talk about politics at work at all?

Don’t wear red. This isn’t a game. It’s your career.

Do as they request, do a good job, quietly start looking for a new job.

Document everything from the beginning of these incidents until now. Recall and write down the dates, times, and people and what was said for every interaction where someone has brought this up. Recall and write down that they were unable to provide specifics, and what directives they gave you. Be as thorough as you can be.

Also, follow up with your supervisor with an email and bcc a non-work email of yours (e.g. gmail) noting your conversations, that you didn't believe you had said anything offensive at all and have been making a conscious effort to keep your conversations at work about work-related topics. Ask if he/she has heard anything different. Do NOT admit to making comments in the past that might be construed as offensive. If he/she replies to your email, you have the documentation done, just fwd the reply email to your non-work email.

Do this once a month or every six weeks as a practice. At some point, you may want to only do it once every three months. Each time you could mention "you know, it's been 6 straight months (or 9) where you have said there has been no specific incident."

In this way, you are creating a documented trail of this so that if they ever do fire you, you can defend yourself. It might be good to get a copy of the company policy booklet about workplace behavior and get familiar with it. You'd be amazed at how many supervisors don't know it and don't follow it. Being more informed than them can save you money and heartache.

Last, I agree with someone else on this thread: get your resume up-to-date and always be looking for a better fit and opportunity. Life is too short to have to worry about this kind of nonsense. But if you have to work there, you need to protect yourself.

Keep a journal. Document the crap they’re trying to accuse you of.

Once upon a time, agreeing to disagree was a very real American thing.

Today, not so much.

Comply and be assimilated.

There is nothing at my work that shows my outside interests.. No family pics, no sports team/University favorites, etc. Nothing... I’m as milquetoast as it gets ... Remember ~50% disagree with your choices. And when it comes to politics in this area it is 90%...

I will likely be the only person on this thread who'll say this, but say this nonetheless:

You do not have freedom of speech @ work and your political affiliation is NOT a protected class.

In short, your employer can fire you for your political speech @ work.

Sounds like you really don't like your job anyway so have at it. Give them the pleasure of firing your ass as opposed to your being there on Thursday Nov. 4th to witness them all wailing, gnashing and crying that President Trump got another four years, living in their heads rent-free making their poor, pathetic lives a living hell.

Just sayin'...

The golden rule applies. He who has the gold makes the rules.

Unless you are being discriminated against in a manner that is against Federal or State Law(a protected class) then you really have no case.

As others have said don’t talk politics at work. Clearly some one has it out for you and they have the bosses ear. Weigh your options carefully.

As others have already said, you’re already on the path to the High Jump. They’re just getting their ducks in a row to dump you at a time that is most convenient to them (and if possible, as inconvenient to you as they can manage). Were I you, I’d preemptively bail on them, preferably in as inconvenient a manner (to them) as you can e.g. Monday late morning, or shortly before your milestone for the Big Project is due etc. They’re already going to be hurting when they lose you, because as a conservative you’re probably among the best workers, might as well really drive home the point to them.

Document every conversation relevant to the above by keeping a diary. Day, time and what was said........You may need it.

And don't talk politics at work any more.....

Such a posture would show trust that my Creator is able to take care of my situation.

Your creator may guarantee you a place in heaven but He can't and won't guarantee you a job.........

If they ever fire you I would dox them including their company. But do it under a different profile even on FreeRepublic. Heck I would dox them on the dark web too.
