Herbert Fingarette once argued that there was no reason to fear death. At 97, his own mortality began to haunt him, and he had to rethink everything.

I’ll look at the YouTube later.
Is he still alive? Or maybe you don’t want to give away the ending.

He died in 2018.
He argued that the AA wasn’t really helping alcoholics.

Everyday is a gift. This man had a long life. The Army and cancer could have killed me and I have seen many just get Grim’s call for every reason under the Sun.

That abotu sums it up- Everyone is brave till reality sinks in- till then we think we’re invulnerable, immune to the bad things in life- then we get cancer, or ms, or liver disease, or whatever it might be, and their whole perspective changes as they face death- for most anyways- some remain defiant til l the end- refusing to even consider what lies ahead-

It depends on how you die. I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of the pain of dying.
The good news is that if you suffer from seizures, they come on so fast that you are here one second and gone the next. There is absolutely no time to contemplate. It's like someone turns off the light switch.
But the main reason not to fear death is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

LOL. But for the elect there is no exit interview. Long before we were formed in our mother's womb our Lord chose us.
