If you missed our livestream Clubland Q&A on Friday afternoon, here's the action replay. Simply click above and settle back for an hour-plus of my answers to questions from Mark Steyn Club members around the planet. This latest edition began with impeachment and ended with a consideration of whether "social media" is reconfiguring humanity. In between came a variety of topics from Roger Scruton on dancing to the latest English town's evil cover-up of industrial-scale paedo gang-rape to the Australian horn player whose wife married the 46th in line to the throne.
You don't have to be a Mark Steyn Club member to listen to the show, so please click away and enjoy it.

The Last Waltz - “The Weight” - The Band feat. the staples singers

One of my favorites.
Too bad they blew up.
Going on cruise hosted by Mark (with Conrad Black, Michelle Bachman et al) this fall. Cant wait.
Based on Steyn’s taste in music, I doubt he is referring to that.
Yes...but I was not referencing Steyn in any way - just a YUGE favorite of mine.
IIRC, quite a few of The Band members have passed away.
I have their last LP...
I’d LOVE to do one. Tell him his next one should be around the Greek islands. I’ll be on it! ;-)
My mind went there immediately.
Best rock and roll movie ever.
Bar none.

IIRC, quite a few of The Band members have passed away.
Robbie Robertson is last surviving member. Leon Helms passed 3 or 4 years ago.

Robbie Robertson is still kicking, sadly Levon Helm is gone.
Without Levon Helm it wasn’t The Band. Anymore than the Doors were the Doors without Jim Morrison.
The chemistry just is not the same.
Anyone who listened to the two doors LPS released after Morrison died saw the group chemistry gone. They were very mediocre records at best.
