And there is where our opinions differ. I am cynical enough to think that most politicians are out for themselves. I don’t rate the Bushes higher than that. I also think that people differ in what they see as “good.” Our disagreement is an obvious example of that. Perhaps the Bushes actions can be read as following their view of “right.” I don’t believe the Clintons’ can. Theirs was simple greed. I don’t believe Obama’s can. That was something so nefarious that I wait for it to be exposed by history.
I believe some fraction of what I read on this list. Most of what I read on the Bushes I toss over my shoulder, while still respecting the right of the writer to believe what I don’t believe.
The one thing I don’t accept in others is bigotry - or cultness - requiring others to accept their positions. I was lucky enough to be raised where I never had to think of do not kill or do not steal. No one did. But do not be prejudiced against others - that was important and still is. It’s why I make early judgments of some based on their groups - like Muslims - and wait to have that first judgment changed by facts.
Your view of facts and mine result in different interpretations. If your view is that my view MUST be yours, then that makes me make a judgment of your view and then move on past it. If we simply disagree, then I support your right to a view that’s not mine.
Bushes are deep state just as abortion is deep state. No one
has to agree but believe the majority here do.
