My husband was clean shaven when I met him. He’s tried it all. Clean shaven, full beard, mustache with goatee; did not matter. He still looks wonderful to me.
But if asked for my preferred look, clean shaven is the best. Why hide such a handsome face behind a mop of hair?
Your wife is probably like me. She loves your face and wants to see all of it.
Some men look better with beards. It gives their face definition, fills it out, squares it off, etc. Some look odd.
As long as it is neat and clean, beards are cool. I hate the rangy looking bushes or the stringy little chin pubes. Tidy it up or shave it off.
