I don’t know how they’ve managed to make beards look girly but they have. Give it a minute, even this lone indicator of testosterone will end up dyed purple and rolled up into a bun. It has to be estrogen in urban water supplies. Nothing else makes sense.

A fraternity brother in college had the thickest, most wide-ranging, densest beard I've ever seen. It covered every square inch around his mouth. It came up almost to his lower eyelids and out to his ears. It was the manliest beard I've ever seen.

Then, as you say, there's today's beard. Lots of guys need to be clued in "that looks AWFUL. You simply can't grow a beard."
