Suspect didnt want to pay 25 cents each for sauces
A Florida woman who was upset when a McDonalds employee told her that she needed to pay for dipping sauces yelled at restaurant workers and threatened to rob the fast food eatery, according to the Indian River County Sheriffs Office.
Deputies said they found 19-year-old Maguire McLaughlin yelling profanities in her car in the drive-thru around 3:45 a.m. New Years Day. They said she was irate, smelled of alcohol, had glassy eyes and her speech was slurred.
Employees said McLaughlin ordered a large amount of food and when she got to the drive-thru window and asked for one dipping sauce in each flavor, she got mad at workers who told her shed need to pay 25 cents for each one, according to the affidavit.
Records show McLaughlin threatened to rob the McDonalds and said she would get the sauce by whatever means necessary.
Deputies said McLaughlin screamed at them and refused to get into the back of a patrol vehicle, so they had to force her to the ground and place a restraint device on her.
Shes facing charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.
What’s next? Charging for straws and napkins?
She asked for one sauce in each flavor. Maybe the first couple per order are free, but they charge when you ask for more than a certain number. Some people will abuse anything.
I don’t believe she really meant “by any means necessary” because twenty five cents would have been one of the means by which she could have obtained sauce.
Maybe must’ve been her time of the month, or something .
I dated a girl named Tiffany once.
“Maybe mustve been her time of the month, or something .”
Ahhhh...the Special Sauce.
To be fair, if she ordered a “large amount of food” is it outrageous to ask for several types of sauces for perhaps several people. How does this become news and what’s wrong with the McDonald’s people ?
25 cents is too much for each pack of dipping sauce? Geez.
I wouldve paid for her dipping sauces.
i could spread some pearl jam on that...
We need to ban this dangerous drug.
