I think there are two classes of tickets:

1) the general “tickets” that are obtained through the web site, etc.. My belief is these are only semi formal; in eventuality, the lines are first come first served - so having such a “ticket” does not ensure entry. Rather this is also being used for demographics and planning as well - they can estimate demand and select a site, etc..

2) VIP tickets - I think there are VIP areas that are pre-screened, whether some time before the event or when some are selected from the line to fill key spots, etc. - this is SOP for campaigns.

I seem to recall, the first couple rallies that had “Q” presence, some of the folks POTUS then gave air “Q”s and such were picked from the line and placed in such locations.

From a couple short strolls around the land of twitter. Posting tonight as lots of snow expected which around here often means no electricity. Why? Mountains, gazillions of trees, power poles, trees/branches falling on them. Freepmail me if you want on/off this ping list.

So many pens that Pelosi will sign to officially transmit the articles of impeachment and sign resolution appointing House managers. Why so many? They will be given away to members like House managers as a symbol of today. pic.twitter.com/URHGGGGp7K— Lauren Fox (@FoxReports) January 15, 2020
