No the “free hand” is either putting on Lipstick or Eye Liner or guys reading the snewzpaper, driving with one knee on steering wheel and the other foot half on each gas/brake pedals-All at 90mph, 8” off the Bumper in front of them.
The scary part is somehow IT WORKS!!! for the most part...
