If you can change anything in your FF profile folder (even a name temporarily) without being root then likely the attacker can do something, even if not taking control of your whole system.

To access your FF profile folder, hold down the Alt key and tap the h key, and then hit Troubleshooting and then Profile Folder.

I have never set up or signed into a Firefox account. It works fine without it and I’m not going to give them anymore than I need to. I run NoScript which blocks everything including java until I go turn each on only if needed to render something I really absolutely need to see. I think this ability to use Noscript, which absolutely WORKS, may be something they would now want to work around or “adjust” because it does work so well.

I’m hoping I am fairly well covered, because I also don’t trust the true intentions of Firefox either, they have a direct information sharing system with the Ford Foundation they are deceptively hiding from everyone as it is. While I still think it is 95% better than most, I am about done with them because of that 5% distrust.

I am about ready to build my own...
