it does make sense given the number of other so called former agents running for state and federal positions across the country, it is clear the Agency has launched a concerted program to infiltrate this countrys political system with operatives.

The former CIA officers who will be on the ballot in 2018 are preparing for the Russians to once again wage an influence campaign and they expect that they will be targets. At the Pentagon last year, Slotkin was the lead negotiator with Moscow on the memorandum of understanding related to Syria.
Nancy Soderberg, a former top national security official in the Clinton administration, is running in the Aug. 28 Democratic primary for a Daytona Beach, Fla.-area House seat.
In Michigans Eighth Congressional District, former Central Intelligence Agency analyst Elissa Slotkin won the Democratic nomination this week and will face Republican Rep. Mike Bishop in November.
In Texas, former military intelligence officer Gina Ortiz Jones is running against GOP Rep. Will Hurd. Mr. Hurd, elected to Congress in 2014, is a former CIA operations officer who did tours in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
