I agree with that...I see nothing in the story that indicates that she would stay with the one who lives...Sad to say, I've been involved in more than one altercation that involved a girl and another fella...
The one who died likely didn't anticipate the fight ending in someone's death...Likely the girl didn't either...The guy with the knife who had just been released from prison apparently had different ideas...
