Singer Boy George has barrelled back into relevancy after saying that use of pronouns is a modern form of attention seeking.
The Culture Club singers tweets quickly became a lightning rod for criticism from LGBT+ circles, with countless trans and gender-diverse folk slamming the star while his words attracted support from gender-critical groups.
Simply specifying your pronouns, whether on a social media bio or to in an email signature, is a small act that helps encourage inclusivity and building solidarity with the trans community.
But George has kicked off the new decade with a take on pronouns labelled transphobic by activists, coming after singer-songwriter Marc Almond faced similar accusations last year. George decried the claims the artist was transphobic as well as ripping into all this PC stuff.
On January 6, George for some reason tweeted: Leave your [pronouns] at the door.
...
And was good friends with the Reagans.
At least Boy George led to this country classic.

This song and video would never have seen the light of day in 2019.
Consider that the whole rotten establishment is on the trans bandwagon. Tells you all you need to know.
Well, Boy, this is the world you helped to create.
One message of “1984” was that you could “rehabilitate” people to state a belief in lies; if you worked hard enough at it, you could brainwash someone into believing the lie.
“Star Trek: The Next Generation” actually did a really good episode about this. The captain was captured and a particularly cruel romulan was assigned to break him. And he worked on this with a very simply task — to make Picard see 5 lights where there as only 4.
At the very end, when it seems picard is broken, superior officers come in — there has been a political settlement, and picard is being released. Picard defiantly says “there are 4 lights”.
But later he admits to his first officer that he actually felt like he saw 5 lights at the end — he had been so broken his mind was ready to believe the lie.
This is what we are working on today, torturing people to believe a lie about something really ridiculous, like a pronoun. Most of us could care less anyway what pronoun a person wants, but that isn’t good enough, we can’t just USE the right one, we have to BELIEVE it is the right one.
Just try at your next diversity training to say “I solemnly swear to use people’s expressed pronouns in all of my work, but I also have to tell you that I will not believe they are correct”. You will get fired, and anybody who tries to defend you will also be attacked, like what is happening to JK Rowling.
One of the best TNG episodes. There were a few real gems in there.
