I cleaned her rodents out in short order with a 5 gallon bucket about a third full of water. Using duct tape as a hinge I fastened a ruler on the rim with peanut butter on the end over the center of the bucket.

The rat walked out for the peanut butter and it dumped them into the water and automatically reset for the next rat. Caught over a dozen of them the first night. problem solved.

Tried that for house mice. Didn’t catch a one. Then I bought an electric mouse killer. Killed two or three that way,but after that, they stayed away from it. I know peppermint oil works, but my husband’s allergic to it. We took in a stray kitten. She hasn’t caught any mice, but I haven’t seen any signs of them since we got her. Must have scared them off.
