And consider there may be perfectly safe alternatives to a drug through lifestyle, nutrient, or supplement methods available over-the-counter, identified through valid research.
Ping.
“The medications that change who we are”
That is almost all meds..the question is do you really need to be taking 15-20 pills a day?
And if you do the supplements, many docs will say they aren’t “medically necessary”. BTDT
Statins make my joints hurt like the dickens.

[[Alarmed, the couple turned to the studys organisers. They were very hostile.]]
Well of course, they were taking statins too
[[tales of broken marriages, destroyed careers, and a surprising number of men who have come unnervingly close to murdering their wives. In almost every case, the symptoms began when they started taking statins, then promptly returned to normal when they stopped]]
Come on- this is all anecdotal evidence- We don’t know what hte variables were- did they happen to encounter stressful situations that they hadn’t before? Did they change their diet at all? Were they getting enough sleep? You could just as well make the claim that they chewed gum during their aggressive period,s but ‘quickly returned to normal’ once they quit chewing the gum- Or when they cut down on the coffee they consumed, or soda with caffeine, or ask whether they had quit smoking during these periods- or or or-
High blood pressure can cause anger issues and marriage problems- Stress certainly does cause problems- stimulants can too-
Where are the large scale controlled studies that these things were a direct result of the certain drug?
While it’s fine ot say that ‘There MAY be a connection”, and suggest further large scale controlled studies need to be done it’s kinda not very responsible to try to make a case that there IS a connection based on anecdotal evidences- Millions of people take statins and are fine (That’s not to say there couldn’t’ be an issue, but it’s pretty good long term proof that the drug is fairly safe)
Let me guess, anti medicine Scientology right?
This article is so full of BS as to be comical. Only nutwad would buy into this nonsense. Statins are about the most innocuous drug there is, to say the least.
Statins are poison.
My doc tried to get me on them, I tried it ONCE.
It felt like a bad flu and didn’t go away for two days.
Poison.
Do whatever you must to control your blood fats and avoid these meds. Quite drinking. Exercise. Lose 40lbs. Eat right.
But never, ever take a statin.
I have no doubt Statins interfere with hormones and other neurotransmitters far more than scientific literature admits to.
SSRI’s can cause homicidal, suicidal impulses in males teenaged/20’s. EVERY school shooter has been on this type of anti-depressant.
Hey, doctors, the patient is not stupid! Your degree does not make you intelligent.
I immediately thought of the ADHD meds fed to boys for decades now.
Well be learning of their long term affects...
Adderall (amphetamine)
Ritalin (methylphenidate)
Concerta (methylphenidate)
Focalin (dexmethylphenidate)
Daytrana (methylphenidate patch)
Metadate or Methylin (methylphenidate)
Dexedrine or Dextrostat (dextroamphetamine)
Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine dimesylate)
The brain is dependent on cholesterol - I can’t imagine how statins would NOT affect the brain, especially in those who’ve not been advised to take CoQ10 with a statin.
I started STATINS, and was on them for only 10 days. I immediately had fitful and restless sleep, gruesome nightmares, muscle aches, and was angry all the time. I stopped taking them and bounced back to “normal” whatever that means. I am now listed as “allergic” to STATINS. Evil stuff!
Contrary to popular opinion these days..
‘One Size Does NOT Fit All’.
Drugs like the statin family can help some, not All.
Big Pharma should know better,, but retains lawyers to settle up when bad things happen.

Working link?
I was on PPI for reflux for over a year when I started to get elevated heart rate, and then one day my heart rate shot up to like 120 out of the blue and caused me to question why, so I got off of proton pump inhibitors and after a week or two my resting heart rate started to fall back into the normal range.
Maybe not everyone gets the same side effect but that sht was crazy
I forgot what I was talking about?
I’ve sworn off statins as they almost made me lose my feet to nerve damage. Took them 5 years with no idea that could be the cause of neuropathy in my feet. Had days I could hardly walk. Two weeks after quitting them my feet improved remarkably. Some permanent damage already done but its now stabilized after a year off them.
I’d rather deal with slightly elevated cholesterol than that painful burning in my feet everyday.
