Mike Leach has finally landed an SEC job.
After nearly landing the Tennessee job that ultimately went to Jeremy Pruitt, Leach has been hired by Mississippi State according to multiple reports. The news was first shared by Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.

I’m an MSU fan because my kids go there, but I have no idea who Leach is or what this bodes for MSU football. I take it it’s good thing?

Well, if he really wants to play Bama, Auburn and LSU every year. Not to mention A&M. Not the easiest place to win any sort of championship.
Wow. You are in for a wild ride. Leach is one of the most eccentric personalities in college football. He luvs all things pirates. If you like a team that throws all the time Leach is your man. He has taken bottom dwelling programs, Texas Tech and Washington State, into winners.
If you think the rivalry between your school and Ole Miss is nasty Leach and the new Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin will be taking the trash talking and hatred to new heights.

Just as an example of Leach being let us say unique, during a press conference he compared which mascots in the Pac 12 would be able to do most harm to the other mascots if they were real.
Whoa, I’m not into ugly rivalries, my son is in the marching band and has to travel to the other SEC sites, including Ole Miss for next year’s Egg Bowl. People can be boorish, even against band members. I hope there will not be fights or physical intimidation.

Congrats on that. That is a big deal to be performing in front of huge crowds like that. Does he get to meet the cheerleaders and like???? :)
He has a good view of the cheerleaders, but I don’t think they mingle with the band.
The SEC just got a lot funner.
Let’s just say that Craig James won’t be sending his kids there.
