There is no way after an event like that that all archived video from the entire facility that night wasn’t ordered to be preserved. ALL OF IT! Not just one cell.

If there is anything suspicious, any possibility for foul play, or even the need for subsequent investigation for any innane reason, why wouldn’t you keep all cameras, including those from the same block, adjacent cells, areas of entry/egress, etc. You would want to review ALL of it.
