I recycle my plastic grocery bags, mostly to line small wastebaskets. If I didn’t use those, I would be using bags I would have to buy at the grocery store.

My bags end up in the landfill and they occupy a minimal amount of space compared to what’s in them.

I also keep some in the back of my car in case I ever need them in a pinch. I occasionally do (think Aldi’s)

A few months ago, Kroger announced they would be no longer be providing plastic bags. If they think I’m going to buy unsanitary reusable cloth bags, the can ESAD. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Actually I’ll likely have saved enough plastic bags to last me until I die.

I also have a collection of plastic bags that have come in quite handy over the years. When we went to Hawaii last year I bought a bunch of pretty cloth bags for $2 each for groceries which I plan on using if and when Arizona enacts a ban on plastic. Hawaii outlawed plastic bags in July 2018 and charged 15 cents per bag. The good news is they can be reused up to 125 times. I’m sure Frys will love it when I bring in my own Safeway bags, lol.

My wife and I have asked the local grocery store if they will take the bags back to reuse. They won't. So besides using them to line some small wastebaskets with, we have come up with another use for them.

We recently had to take in our two year old granddaughter to live with us full time.

We recycle the plastic bags from the grocery store to dispose of her dirty diapers in after she soils them.

Better that than just throwing them away empty. 😂
