Young’uns have less money and less room for crap. And brand loyalty ain’t what it once was.

They spend what they have on eating out. No cooking and no home love or decor. At least from what I see. Not all I’m sure.

Restaurant meals are often incredibly high in calories, sugar, sodium, and unhealthy fats – all of which negatively affects your health. Not to mention that family members who have sensitivities, intolerances, and food allergies have to be extra careful when picking food from the menu. Even then, there’s always the possibility of cross contamination in the kitchen.

My niece and nephew are in excellent jobs and make good money, yet they still use paper plates for their families’ meals. They want nothing to do with the Spode China sets, and silverware I’m trying to unload with downsizing.

When I was their age, we had and used our sets of China, the Waterford, the silver.
