When the drying Christmas trees were waiting by the road to be collected, we’d drag them into the street and make a road block.
When the drivers got of the cars to move the trees, we’d snowball them.

I’m ashamed to say I sometimes did this as a kid. The worst thing that ever happened was someone called the cops on us.

I drove all over the upper midwest for 12 years in Sales. The most annoying drivers drove Toyotas. Prius jerks in Madison, WI had Hillary bumper stickers.
It’s Subarus around here, but we have our share of Prius morons too.

I’m betting if you threw a snowball at a police officer, they could shoot you without penalty.
That is true; also throwing eggs at cars on halloween, once we hit a car of teenagers, they slid to a halt, jumped out, and grabbed bats and tire irons out of the trunk. We were up on a hill and knew where to run, but that was very scary for an 8-year-old.

Guessing there are a few simple rules that apply?
If the pigmentation of the shootee is close to snow in color, and the shooter has a high melanin count they might walk.
