Is it defending porn, or just acknowledging that a government that has the power to eliminate it, may be a case of the ‘cure being worse than the disease’?

There’s the old saw about freedom: you should be able to do anything lawful regardless of what busybodies think about it and its none of their business if you do.

A principled libertarian position, held by Peter McWilliams, who wrote a book about the absurdity of nonconsensual crimes.

Still worth reading.

I did not mention the role of government.

Porn is evil and destructive to society, families, and individuals.

Besides all of these ills, it will also result in many people going to Hell.

This forum is the last place it should be defended.

Matthew 5:28-30
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
