I like that analogy as well. I am less versed in the European theater history of WWII; thank you for suggesting this one.
Or members of Parliament eulogizing SS Reichsprotektor of Bohemia Reinhard Heydrich after he was was critically wounded in Prague on 27 May 1942 as a result of an assassination named Operation Anthropoid by the British Special Operations Executive. Heydrich died of his wounds a few days aftereard.

good one
It reminds me of the meme of magician Trump saying “For my next trick I’ll make democrats defend Iran.”
We dodged a bullet with him as VP along with Hillary.
When will Liberals/Democrats realize that Muslim/Islam are intent on destroying ANYONE who isn’t a Muslim?
They have their heads so far up their own behinds that they refuse to understand the constant threat Islam represents.
If they wish to make decisions that ONLY hurt THEM-—FINE. But it isn’t fine with me that THEIR decisions will harm me & others of the same mind.
Headline should be "Pro-Iranian Congressman Kaine attempts to hinder Pro-American President from protecting American interests".
I was both a poll watcher and election officer for many years in Fairfax County. I was also very active in the FCRC. I briefed Eric Cantor, George Allen, Ed Gillespie, and a number of other Reps on the immigration issue and how it was changing the state electorally. I was involved in the Herndon effort and 287g. I worked closely with Corey Stewart on the immigration issue and helped Dave Brat defeat Cantor in the primary. I also sat on Middle Resolution interview boards for possible candidates. I was deeply involved with the VA tea party and help sponsor the convention.
The GOP still fails to realize that legal immigration will make the Dems the permanent majority party. I heard all the excuses like yours that voter fraud was the problem. And then there was the strategy of greater outreach to minorities. It is all futile. Unless we reduce legal immigration, the fate of the GOP is sealed. NC, GA, and AZ are the next dominos to fall. There is a reason the Dems have won the popular vote in six out of the last seven Presidential elections.
Trump has offered a possible path to salvage the GOP. Economic nationalism and placing the American worker first. Both parties have abandoned the American worker. Trump has redefined the GOP, but will that be the case when he leaves? Or will the GOP revert back to its corporate paymasters?
“Thank you sir, may I have another?”
To think we could have had this dosh as our VP...ugh!
