> I have not heard a good pop or rock song for many many many years on the radio...

Dittos. However, lots of good streams on the interweb.

> I find my music now at youtube... Double dittos. No time to elaborate but mishaps I’ll post more next year.

> To save the video’s at Youtube. Just copy link then click Paste link button and save to your desktop.

> 4K Video Downloader

> Use VLC to play video or audio.

I’ll leave these links intact. I use both on a regular basis and I highly recommend them. VLC can do a lot more than just play videos and audios - it can convert file formats, record streams in real-time and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Again, no time now but I’ll share a lot of excellent music later, although not so much in the form of albums but individual songs posted on YT. Today, a lot of what used to be albums are now live concert videos.

Just a few - The Wagakki Band - Senbonzakura

The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu (Official Music Video)

Hatsune Miku - Secret Police

Wintergatan - Paradis (Live)

Off to celebrate

Happy New Year !

Omg listen to DoodleBob. There is so much good rock out there. You need to expose yourself. My son is a music student and when we drive somewhere together he turns me on to AMAZING stuff in all genres. It’s good and it’s better than your 70s tunes, because every decade builds on the music of the past and adds to and expands it. DB is right that you all sound like your parents when you brought home your Beatles album.

I’m a bit late on this thread, but I’ve yet to listen to this one. Hoping more like early 70’s than anything. I considered Stranger In Town his last truly great album up until now. I’m one of those who loved his early stuff including his local releases from 1966-67 as well as the Bob Seger System albums as well.

“Ride Out” is a very diverse CD. So many different styles. The deluxe CD has 15 songs. It’s out there on YouTube free, so you can listen to at your ease without hunting down the actual CD.

It’s almost become my favorite work by him with only “Seven” & “Beautiful Loser” ahead of it.

I still need to check that one out. I was shocked how many great albums by 80’s metal bands this decade produced. Megadeth back to their A game after the last half of the 90’s was their most uninspired work ever. Accept issuing one great album after another since 2010. Overkill just being Overkill is always a welcome thing IMO. And even Sacred Reich issuing their first studio album since 1996 last year was nice as well. I need to check out on the Maiden I missed out on which is essentially Fear Of The Dark and onward.

I definitely have to listen to that one as I love both those other albums. I’m very partial to Back In ‘72 and Brand New Morning as well even if he’s not these days. ;)

I just saw him in Boston in October on his last tour. He was in good form for being 74 years old.

Yeah, I can imagine. When I saw him back in 1996 he was in good form then as well.
