If she was beseeching him about the situation of the Catholics in China - whom he has abandoned - then his reaction was one of not wanting to be reminded of his guilt, and him calling her a “—itch” and trying to get away from her is understandable. (I believe Benedict XVI is still the Holy Father and Bergolio proves it every day.)

I would like to hear the translation but I agree with you about Catholics in China may have been why his demeanor changed so much. Jolly and smiling then scowling and angry. Did he really call her “-itch”?
