Exactly. I have not argued that the century didn't end on 12/31/2000. That is unrelated to the notion of labeling decades by their tens. The 20s are all the years where you say the word 20 for the last two digits of the year. This is so obvious that arguing about it causes intense frustration. It's not a matter of a difference of opinion, it is by definition correct.
