With all due respect, things like Rational Emotive Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy belong in the same category as self-help books. They might help some people, but they aren’t built on some universal mechanistic understanding of behavior or neuroscience.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy must be after my time. As for Rational Emotive Therapy, it is, in fact, built on a universal principle, which is why it works. People are made better on a permanent basis.
