“Well, Dave, then just what do you do for excitement?”
Read and reply on Free Republic.
Reading: Magic the untold story of US intel and the evacuation of Japanese Residents from the West Coast during WWII, The United States of Trump, The Pioneers by David McCullough. The story of the settlers, who brought the American Ideal West.
Work on our Genealogy, will crack/track 30,000 ancestors this month in less than 3 years.
Walking in our area.
Going to church.
Playing Bridge in a men’s group and with my wife and her best friend and her husband.
Texting grand kids, siblings, adult children and a few friends and other relatives. Emailing and talking to friends and cousins in their 80’s like me.
Watching at this time of evening, the pink clouds east of here and later a pink and golden sunset in the west from my easy chair.
TV doesn’t come until about dinner time. No news or bs, a few good US shows and a lot of Brit mystery shows. You helped me to cut the cable 3 years ago. We are saving over $200/month. All of our West Coast family was here for Christmas, no football or bs on tv. Just the pic of a roaring fire with Christmas music. Only the kids in college brought their cell phones in. They mainly took pics with them.
I was blessed with good parents/grand parents, uncles/aunts, siblings and a few really good friends along the way.
My wife is my best friend, a great mother/grand mother, aunt and cousin. We still do a lot of things together and talk a lot each day.
So what do you do for excitement?
Shoot, fly, travel, work, more work, 3D printing (fun stuff, really), hike, ham radio, motorcycles, the usual.
