Never shop anywhere that’s on a bus line.

I agree completely. I have become very fed up with the penalizing of good kids, or adults for that matter, in order to deal with the bottom feeders. And ironically, it’s rarely successful.

“Teens”
“Juveniles”
“Swinging at police”
Hmmm...the motive is a mystery, Chet.

I was such an unenlightened 15 year old. We used to go to the mall to have an Orange Julius and ogle the babes.

...much more communicative to use the word on. Right you are. It communicates the complexion of the speaker.

It happened in metro Cincinnati, not Dayton. But the ruling majorities are roughly the same.

I wonder if that is the most accurate way to describe them.

Why? Who do you think their “parents” are?
The parent are those same kids we were saying the same things about 15-18 years ago.

There is an infamous quote, erroneously attributed to Voltaire, that says, "To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize. It has appeared on T-shirts, bumper stickers and numerous coffee mugs.
However, when it was eventually tracked to not Voltaire, but to a "neo-Nazi Holocaust denier", smug Liberal voices immediately "shot the messenger".
If that ultimate paleo-Nazi, Adolph himself, had said, "Don't swim in Great White shark waters dressed as a harbor seal", most would give the dictum an examination to see what truth it might contain before totally ignoring it.
Another well-worn saying, "if it walks like a duck..." seems to apply in the case of the entire press resorting to the use of "teens" and "youth" to describe groups that almost universally prove to be "African-American". Their obligatory use of these euphemisms proves the truth of the quote from that "neo-Nazi Holocaust denier".
"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.

I remember being stormed by hundreds of Jr. High teens, once. I was the assistant manager of a taco joint when about 40 buses pulled in for some kind of state-wide band gathering at the college next door.
The kids were mostly polite (it was the '80s) but urgently wanted tacos, burritos and sodas. I paged the supervisor with a message and some help got there in 20 minutes from other stores.
Basically we just made and sold as much food as we possibly could for several hours but only made a small dent in the sea of hungry teen faces that filled the building, parking lot and beyond.
