Bauernfeind and his family had been staying in the island’s upscale Belle-Mare section of since Dec. 19. He was snorkeling about 150 feet from the shore when he drowned, according to The Sun.

“The skipper of a yacht discovered the body floating in a lagoon off Belle-Mare on Thursday morning,”

He may not have actually drowned. About a year ago a good friend was snorkeling at a resort in Mexico. He had a heart attack and died instantly. A companion noticed him not moving, and upon checking, found him dead. Not a bad way to go. Mexico requires a post mortem, after which he was cremated. His family and friends always said he’d be late for his own funeral. So at his memorial service his son brought in the cherry wood chest bearing his ashes, ten minutes into the service. The BEST part is, he loved the Lord and one second he was in Mexico, and the next he was in Heaven.
