Well, because of passenger car capacity and child restraint laws we just can’t haul them all in one car anymore like we used to. lol
A guy on youtube has built a Suburban with 10 seats.
the GMT800 suburban with 4wheel steering. Replacing the front buckets and console with a bench seat (Center armrest seat)
Middle row is a full row.
3rd row is factory but the 4th row is a trick that GMT800 guys know:
The Suburban has the same trunk footage with the rear seats up that a Tahoe has with the rear seats down. The Suburban has it’s 3rd row brackets recessed into the floor, the Tahoe has them surface mounted.
He merely removed the 3rd row from a tahoe and placed it behind the Suburban’s 3rd row. 4 rows. Albeit agile kids need to climb over the seats to get in them, it’s not a problem for him.
He too built it so he could take all of his grandkids out. It’s funny how grandfatherhood works out.
