Why would he have a WWII draft card?

Pretty much every male was required to have one.

I see lots of them for old guys in my genealogical travels. Quite handy for cross-referencing.

Why would he have a WWII draft card?

My (then) 50-year-old grandfather had a draft card. I suppose that it was seen as a "last-resort" measure.
