“i guess the other two passengers riding with Patton were just lucky as hell not to get a scratch”
Patton was sitting on the edge of his seat and looking out. Next to him was General Gay. Gay and Woodring, the driver, both braced for the crash. Patton had no time to brace after Gen. Gay said “Hang tight”.
Gay did have some bruises.
He had no pull when the war ended. Payback only. That is if he were murdered.
How do you “brace” in a caddy limo?My bet is no one had seat belts either as those didnt come in till a lot later. So the General is the only one (and Churchill) that realized the commie threat to Europe post war and ends up taken out of the game.Churchill voted out as Prime Minister after leading England out of WW2 on the winning side.So the 2 men raising the alarms against the soviets get removed and we give away(poland, czechsovakia romania and others get thrown to the wolves(russians) for 50 years.Smells really bad to me.
Look at the car photos at the wreck scene. All windows rolled up.Sitting at the front of the seat in a caddy limo will not allow you to hang your head out the window anyway. The rear windows in the picture are partially over the rear wheelwells and do not lower.
