I haven’t seen a single analysis that is on target. Literally nobody in the country except for a tiny handful of Trump’s allies understands what’s happening.

Everybody is thinking tactically, while of course Trump is thinking strategically.

All you have to do is ask yourself how Trump can prevent this from happening again, and you’ll find that there’s only one answer.

For @Kambeii

You ask, “What is Trump going to say on the stand in his trial that his own lawyers can’t say?”

Spoken like a true lawyer.

A better question is, “What ISN’T he going to say?”

People are unable to grasp what’s coming, despite the fact that Trump has said in plain English what he’s going to do.

He said he’s going to expose all the corruption.

What did you think he meant? An Oval Office address? A press conference?

No.

During a trial.

The defendant gets to take the stand during his defense.

As a lawyer, you’re thinking that they’re going to ask him, “Did you do this?” and he’ll say, “I sure didn’t.”

That’s not going to happen.

Trump’s defense team is going to produce HARD EVIDENCE of the corruption.

That means documentation.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have tapes and videos.

Why hasn’t Trump complained about Christopher Wray of the FBI?

There’s tons of stuff going on that isn’t as it seems.

You’re thinking that Trump will do something entirely conventional, but he’s never done anything conventionally.

HE GOADED THE DEMOCRATS INTO IMPEACHING HIM.

Why would he do that?

Because he’s got big plans for them.

The trial isn’t going to be about the articles of impeachment.

It’s going to be about the lawlessness of the PROCESS of impeachment, which stemmed from the utter lawlessness of the Democrats.

What I hate about lawyers is that they present “theories.”

In this case, the defense theory will be that the impeachment was the result of massive, near-universal corruption of the Democrats and our law-enforcement and intelligence arms.

The impeachment encompasses everything that Trump has been talking about, so OF COURSE he’ll be allowed to prove that what he’s saying is true.

He has HARD EVIDENCE.

This isn’t a law-school exercise. You’re thinking too small.

But so is everybody else.

I have to admit that it’s frustrating, but there’s nothing I can do about it.

Trump’s going to destroy he Democratic party. McConnell and Graham are admitting it.

What the Democrats have done is a threat to the entire governance of the republic.

And you’re thinking in terms of lawyers asking a couple of questions, and then the Senate voting.

How would that address the threat of the total collapse of the system itself?

Trump has to provide a solution. If not, the Democrats will impeach him and Pence again and again and again.

What’s the only solution?

The death of the Democratic party.
