Who knew the way to destroy the empire was miniature teddy bears with rocks and sticks. Then we had to endure JarJar. Then the entire concept that a sixth lord can walk around the Jedi council and no one not a single one can feel the disturbance in the FoRcE FaRcE. Yeah and the mid 3 the acting was real bad. Made soap operas look like academy award winners. Now we have wonder force woman. No training no clue but she is more powerful than everyone. I just want a good story, good characters without breaking it all for stupidity. Sorry I was 8 in 1977. The ruined my childhood with this crap. I’m going to start a class action lawsuit 😂
Palpatine’s acting at least had chops, so that’s one good thing about ROTJ and the Prequels.
Probably what’s even worse with the Ewoks bit you are referencing is that George Lucas created them in order to promote the Vietcong as our moral superiors (heck, not just promote them, double down on the promotion, since apparently he had based the Rebels on the VC since 1973.). You think all that is ruining childhood? That ain’t even the half of it. My childhood with Star Wars was shattered the minute it became apparent to me that Lucas based the good guys on an evil terrorist group, and with absolutely NO shame in admitting it.
