No kidding, we just finished watching the movie ‘Conspiracy’ about the very conference they mentioned not 5 minutes before this thread appeared.
I watched a show about the Third Reich and the evil men who were Hitlers underlings last night.
The German english subtitles is pretty good, and has some added minutiae and way of presenting it that fills in some gaps.
The Wansee Minutes, as edited and distributed by Adolf Eichmann himself, were discovered by Robert Kempner, a German prosecutor working with the US at the Nuremberg Trials. He found the one copy of the “minutes” (protocol in German) in the files of Martin Luther Under Secretary in the Foreign Office, who attended. Found them in a pile of files in the Foreign Office. A person or group being “evacuated to the East” was a euphemism for mass execution by work or gassing.
Richard Branagh and the entire cast was well contracted. He was fantastically cold blooded, directed fury in the meeting, cold sadistic, and “artsy” just like Heydrich. Keep in mind Himmler took over, and Eichmann was his right had man. The Wansee Protocols and Kempner were used in evidence at Eichmann’s trial in Israel (another good film on that trial and the young lawyer who prosecuted him. Great focus on the liberals who were against trying him— imagine! They of course were the same as today, anti Israel, commies really).
"Die Wannseekonferenz" (in German with English subtitles) was better, and it's on YouTube.
the code name for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich
one of the main architects of the Final Solution.
Apart from Hitler no one typified the evil of Nazism more so than Heydrich.
.... Cold, calculating, arrogant and brutal, he is a figure whose hands-on approach
made him author of some of the worst crimes ever perpetrated by man. So ruthless
and efficient were his methods that he earned nicknames like "The Butcher
of Prague, The Hangman, and the Blond Beast."
