It is really going to disenfranchise rural folks. For at least 50 years or more it will not be “available” anywhere outside of larger city limits because they are NOT going to spend the money to build all those extra needed rural towers. Yet, you can bet that they will charge the same rate for those with no 5G service as they do for those who will have the signal. “one size fits all” service contracts.

“5G service not available in some regions” will be a huge huge gross understatement...

Be Glad. Using these things is like standing next to a microwave oven operating with the door open.

One of the commercials running on the radio talks of 1 tower being able to serve “hundreds of square miles.” Of course there is “line of sight” to take into account but either way that is quite the transmitter. Maybe it will smoke birds out of the sky better than the windmills...

“It is really going to disenfranchise rural folks. “

No loss.

You want to see a tower in every-other section of land?

Multi gigabit wireless for phones is overkill.

Some stationary equipment might be able to make use of it in the cities, but those are all cabled in a dense lattice of fiber.

That’s great incentive for moving into rural districts!
