This is a non issue...

If you are not in the rolls and you show up at a polling place here is what happens.. at least in my state:

The judge of elections will call the county to have them verify who you claim to be and that you are at the right polling location.

If the county can not find you on the rolls, ( my experience has been most that this happens to the county finds them and they are at the wrong location and the judge passes it along to the voter letting them know where their polling place is) then the voter is given a provisional ballot which will be filled out by said voter and the board of elections will then determine after the fact the authenticity of the voter and whether that vote should be counted or not.

While it can be a minor annoyance to everyone involved no legitimate voter gets turned away at the polling place. He’ll even if you flat out lie and argue you will likely end up being given a provisional ballot. Later if you are lying the ballot will wind up not being counted.

Thes left wing claims that people are getting disenfranchised by voting roll purges is garbage

Other states may differ but I assume they have a similar set up

Wisconsin is far simpler. All you need is a photo ID. No calling anywhere, no nothing. You show a valid photo ID and you are allowed to register. No provisional ballot. If you don’t have an ID, then you can still get a provisional ballot which will be counted if you provide proof after the fact.
