I fly SWA a lot, but never to HI. You gets snacks but entertainment is on your own device. You need to check in 24 hours ahead to get a space in line (not a seat). So if you plane originated on the east coast going to HI, could be fewer aisle/window seats available if you get on in CA.

Other than that, pretty good - never got sucked out of a window at 20,000 ft, but did happen once a few years ago.

Not sure if the east coast thing is an issue or not. They have to have certain certifications for the planes making the long over water flights and I don’t think most of their fleet is so certified.
